Self-portrait of the artist with Hawthorne

M.C. Churchill-Nash

A professional artist for 30 years, Churchill-Nash began emphasizing domestic animals when friends and acquaintances began to request portraits of their pets after seeing her work. In 1977 this lead to a series of water color portraits to benefit the Knox County (TN) Humane Society, sponsored by Ralston-Purina.   Churchill-Nash's work has been exhibited in the Harness Tracks of America art shows and the Art Show at the Dog Show, as well as numerous juried and invitational art competitions throughout the US.
